Adjective's degrees


 

 

  1. Positive Degree: Describes a quality without comparison (e.g., "tall").
  2. Comparative Degree: Compares two things (e.g., "taller").
  3. Superlative Degree: Compares more than two things, expressing the highest degree of quality (e.g., "tallest").

     Olivia is a creative artist, but her mentor is more creative. Among the local artists, her mentor is considered the most creative. Olivia enjoys cooking and makes a tasty lasagna, but her friend Jamie’s lasagna is tastier. The lasagna at Jamie’s restaurant is known as the tastiest in town. Olivia also loves gardening; her garden is colorful, but the botanical garden is more colorful, and the flower show is the most colorful event of the year. Their home is comfortable, but their vacation cabin is more comfortable, and the resort they stayed at was the most comfortable place they’ve ever visited.

    Exercise no.2:

    Liam is a generous friend, but his neighbor Emma is even more generous. In their community, Emma is known as the most generous person. Liam also excels in playing the guitar; he is skilled, but his music teacher is more skilled. His teacher is regarded as the most skilled guitarist in the area. When it comes to travel, Liam finds the local sights interesting, but the historical landmarks are more interesting. The most captivating destination they visited was the most interesting of all. Their local restaurant is cozy, but the café downtown is cozier, and the new bistro is the coziest place to unwind.

    Ethan is an athletic player, but his teammate Alex is more athletic. Among all the players on the team, Alex is the most athletic. When it comes to academics, Ethan is bright, but his cousin Mia is brighter. In their family, Mia is known as the brightest student. Ethan also enjoys hiking and finds the local trails challenging, but the new mountain trails are more challenging. The toughest trail of all is considered the most challenging. Their neighborhood park is pleasant, but the botanical garden is more pleasant, and the lakeside park is the most pleasant spot for relaxation.

When it comes to baking, Sophia makes a delicious apple pie, but her grandmother’s pie is more delicious. At family gatherings, the pie is always praised as the most delicious. The family’s garden is beautiful, but the flower bed in the front yard is more beautiful, and the roses in the garden are the most beautiful.

    Exercise no.5:

    John is an intelligent student, but his classmate Sarah is more intelligent. In fact, Sarah is the most intelligent student in their grade. John also enjoys playing sports and is good at soccer, but his friend Mike is better. Last season, Mike was the best player on the team. When it comes to running, John is fast, but Mike is faster, and in the recent competition, Mike proved to be the fastest. Their school's library is quiet, but the reading room is quieter, and the study lounge is the quietest place in the school. The library’s collection is large, but the new book collection is larger, and the rare book section is the largest in the region.
