Actions completed recently or with relevance to the present.

2.Past Perfect

Subject + had + past participle

He had played football before it started raining.

Actions completed before another action in the past

3.Future Perfect

Subject + will have + past participle

He will have played football by next week.

Actions that will be completed before a specific future time.

He has been playing football for an hour.

Actions that started in the past and continue up to now.

2.Past Perfect Continuous
