Descriptive Adjectives (Quality)

They describe the quality or nature of a noun.

Examples:

  • A beautiful garden

2. Quantitative Adjectives

They show how much of something (uncountable nouns).

Examples:

  • Some water

  • Much sugar

  • Little milk

  • Enough food

  • No money

  • Plenty of time

3. Numerical Adjectives

They show how many or the order.

Types:

  • Cardinal: one, two, three

  • Ordinal: first, second, third

Examples:

  • Three students

  • The first prize

Cardinal (number):

  • Five books

  • Ten players

  • Two cars

Ordinal (order):

  • Second position

  • Fifth chapter

  • Last day

4. Demonstrative Adjectives

They point out specific nouns.
